INNOVATION MEETS OPPORTUNITY

Most a times nations fail due total dependability on the government, creating large number of unemployment as the government can not employ everybody. The call for self a self-employment has become over emphasized in virtually every developing nation, and the case is not any different here in Nigeria. One may wonder why many youths refuse to stand up and fend for themselves? When ever such questions are raised the common response is "the opportunities are not available in support of small and medium scale enterprises". Many opinions may differ, but if that is the case, then I expect to see many  youths creating jobs not just for themselves but for others too, as the BOI has created a platforms to support innovative ideas in establishing businesses to compliment that increasingly growing amount of unemployment in Nigeria.
Many may know of this platform, others maybe hearing it for the first time while the may think it's yet another fairy tale existing in movies and other bedtime stories. But here in Nigeria the story is a reality with the BOI initiative to support innovative ideas.

I expect to see many youths springing up with their innovative ideas and access the opportunity meant for all of us, cause finally an opportunity is here for your innovative ideas...

The Rahama Sadau Saga...

The Rahama Sadau issue came and took over the social media like storm or rather a wild fire. During that period i voiced out my opinion, which was very much not hidden and it led to some people calling me names like "Dan Iska" "Bayahude" "Arne" "Mai raunin imani" etc. All these names are truly damming and highly painful to a Hausa-Muslim like me, but I have forgiven them all.
I noticed that some people deleted my post on their walls, and some even unfollow me or unfriend me on Facebook; its ok, but I want to make wanting clear, I wasn't insulting or disrespecting anybody with my posts and stance on the Rahama Sadau saga. You should all know that all i did was to speak out against what I don't believe in, and publicly criticize what I felt was wrong. Being straight forward, honest with your thoughts, and being supportive of a fellow colleague who's in need of our support. This are some of virtues we learned from predecessors. So if any of you feels Aggie Need to also make this clear, for those who those who think I may have a special interest on the Sadau's girl, well am not, infact never even met Rahama before. So for those offended by my post, am sorry, for those who find my post arrogant and disrespectful i also apologise, but know that I was only putting what I learn from someone greatly worthy of immolation, but since the truth has limits, i sincerely for being too naive to believe that "the truth shall set you free".  For that I also apologise. I also apologise for making the women in my life jealous, is they continuously complained that I never did stood for them, but I was busy saying #iStandWithRahamaSadau. Kuma am sorry.
Now to end this saga, I have my two cents on this Rahama Sadau case.

1. Art shouldn't be suppressed, either in film or music; that's like limiting creativity.

2. As much as we want to sanitize the industry in accordance with societal norms and values, there is a limit to which that can be done. In the first place, this industry thrives on art and creativity, and the media is a reflection of the larger society, as such we only try to replicate ("ACT") happenings in d society.... You don't expect people acting out a love scene not to show emotions through "innocuous" touching.

3. Others have done worse, no need mentioning names. But If one is going to be punished, then all offenders should. If her punishment is based on recent laws enacted by MOPPAN, the video was produced b4 the laws became active.

4. I think we have so diluted the culture and religion that we cant separate both again. Cultures differ and some allow for physical expression of love; religion on the other hand is a different ball game entirely.

5. If we are going to go by the tenets of religion, then the whole movie industry shouldn't exist in the first place cos it contravenes most religious tenets. The voice of a woman is sacred, so are her body, and she's not suppose to mingle with with someone whom marriage isn't forbidden between them (Are we still talking religion?).

6. Finally, is Kannywood a "Hausa" film industry or an "Islamic" film industry.... Note point 4 is where I bet my two kobo opinion.
This is just a case of actions and reactions, I sincerely apologise for any hurt feelings, or disrespectful, or grievances. We are just sharing opinions to agree and disagree.
